History

CARE Foundation (Center for Aid Rehabilitation and Education) is a non government and a nonprofit organization that was initiated in 1990, but officially registered in 1995. CARE was established to support and strengthen the community groups in the field of Health, Education, Medical treatment and women empowerment. It is registered with the Maharashtra state Government and the commissioner of Income Tax, u/s 80G, I.T Act of 1961.

The  activities  and  projects  of  CARE  foundation  originated  from  the  most  important   thought
“WE CARE”. It has worked towards the betterment of the society mainly by providing financial assistance through scholarships, and free education to deserving the poor and needy, better medical treatment at lower rates for the underprivileged, women empowerment programs making them self reliant, free education for children of construction workers and promote public awareness programs related to health, hygiene, family planning, AIDS, etc.

CARE came across children that had an urge towards education, but due to financial problems were not able to accomplish their desire. CARE felt the importance of educating these children, and later initiated the Student Adoption Program. The concern towards health and hygiene, initiated the thought of the Medical Centre, providing treatment for the poor at affordable rates. It is an OPD and diagnostic centre where patients can come for the consultation and diagnosis. Care felt that it is necessary to establish hospital to provide additional facilities of IPD and surgeries. Thus, the hospital was setup with 24 beds. The thought of setting up a library and a reading room for students rose due to one of our student’s requirement that lived in the slums. The reading room offers a place to study and reference books related to education.

As CARE has progressed, it has expanded its support towards the development of Municipal school, garden and hospital. It has been consistent in organizing various health camps and workshops by offering free treatment and medicines to the poor and needy.

This organization has experienced consistent growth under the leadership of our trustees, Smt. Nirmaladevi Sardarmal Jain, Mr.Dharmesh.Jain (CMD Nirmal Lifestyle India Pvt. Ltd.), and Mrs.Anju Jain (Director Nirmal Lifestyle India Pvt. Ltd.)
